FixCascais

FixCascais fits into a policy of responsible citizenship where each citizen, resident or visitor is invited to help the Council improve its territory by reporting different types of situations in public spaces like damaged pavements, badly placed or faulty traffic signs, roads which need cleaning, etc.
The reporting of situations is simple.
This application also allows access to public notices from the CMC and suggestions for events, which can be searched for by geographic location.
This application can be downloaded from the appstore if you have an iPhone, or from play.store if you have an Android. The application is free. You can also use it in the web: http://fixcascais.cm-cascais.pt

FixCascais is one more tool to get close to the citizens, in a municipality that has its greatest value in the people who live there, work there or visit it.

Features:
 Report occurrences in public spaces within the municipality of Cascais. The notifications are made on a simple, four step system (identification of user | classification of the situation | location | send an image);
 Consult notices for warnings of situations within the municipality of Cascais and search them by geographical location;
 Consult sports and cultural events suggested by the Câmara Municipal de Cascais (Municipal Council of Cascais) and search them by geographical location;

HOW TO USE IT!

What is it?
- An application which allows citizens to report different types of occurrences on public roads
- Makes each citizen a privileged partner, able to easily report situations which need the intervention of the Câmara Municipal de Cascais (Municipal Council of Cascais)!
- It also has access to notices which may be important for your daily life such as water cuts, restrictions in the supply of power, traffic problems, etc.
- You may also see suggestions for events promoted in Cascais

- Direct channel which allows for a closer relationship between the citizen and the council

How does it work?
- Download the application onto the mobile telephone: Android and iPhone versions are available

Send a notification:
- Access the application on your mobile telephone desktop
- Click on new notification
- Enter your data: name and e-mail
- Click next
- Select one of the categories and add information for a better clarification of the situation

Available categories
- Objects no longer in use (E.g.: collection of furniture, electrical appliances, sofas, wood …)
- Garden cuttings (E.g.: collection of garden cuttings …)
- Green spaces and children's playgrounds (E.g.: pruning, faulty watering systems, general cleaning of the spaces …)
- Urban cleaning (E.g.: sweeping, collection of SUW –  undifferentiated and recyclable containers, cleaning miscellaneous…
- Urban furniture (E.g..: garden benches missing, damaged equipment, …)
- Incorrect parking (E.g.: abandoned vehicles, badly parked vehicle, …)
- Conservation of public spaces (E.g.: hole in the road, damaged surface, …)
- Signalling (E.g.: faulty traffic light, road crossing missing, …)
- Undue occupation of the public road (E.g.: terrace, works container)
- Mark location of the occurrence to be reported.
- You may select “close to me” or search by road
- An image of the occurrence may be attached, taken at the time or saved on the mobile device
- Information on the device of the successful sending of the notification.
- An identification number for the notification made is sent to the e-mail supplied.

- Notices, which can be easily accessed on the main menu, by list or through the application of a filter, are available.
- Receive information related to events: Information available for relevant cultural, sporting and other events in Cascais.
