Cascais is the 7th best beach destination in the south of Europe, among 50 destinations
The beaches of Cascais are known because they associate the naturalism of being close to Sintra, with the cosmopolitanism and urbanism which characterises the ‘Cascais Line'. Recall that Cascais has 11 beaches with the Blue Flag, a symbol for quality assurance.
Portugal is given great emphasis in their list for the best beach destinations in the south of Europe. Within this ranking, we have the Algarve with three beaches. Lagos in 14th place after coming in 7th last year, Vilamoura in 41st place and Carvoeiro closing the list coming in at number 50.
At the top of the ‘Trivago’ list we have two beach destinations on the Greek Island of Santorini, Imerovigli in 1st, and Oia in second. Belek, in Turkey closes the top 3 of this ranking of hotel reputation.
Italy is also greatly emphasised being the country that puts more destinations on the list, a total of 18, with Amalfi and Sorrento, occupying fourth and fifth place respectively. Rounding out the rankings, we have Spain with nine, Croatia with seven, Greece with six, Turkey with five, Portugal with four and France with only one.
